What the formats are
- Self-paced (e-learning or self-study): the official PECB course at your own pace. The lowest ISO 27001 certification cost.
- Hybrid: the self-paced course plus one day of one-to-one live coaching with the instructor. The day can be split into a half day before you start and a half day before your exam.
- Live online class: five days with an instructor, with exercises and time for questions.

Exam cost: is it separate?

Costs after you pass

ISO 27001 certification cost for a company is different
If you searched for the ISO 27001 certification cost for an organization, the numbers above are not what you need. A company’s cost has two parts:
- Building the system: staff time, any consulting support, tools and training for the people involved.
- Certification audits: the certification body’s fees for the stage 1 and stage 2 audits, the yearly surveillance audits and recertification after three years. The fee depends mainly on the number of people and sites in scope.

- Take Foundation first only if you are new to the standard; it is not a prerequisite for the Lead courses.
